Apple-Glazed Pork Chops

Apple-Glazed Pork ChopsThe sweet savory combination of flavors in Apple-Glazed Pork Chops is perfect for a weeknight meal. I serve it with a couple of vegetable sides or a salad. It’s hard to believe it can be ready in under an hour. My family loves this one!

Ingredients for Apple-Glazed Pork Chops

6-7 thick cut pork chops

1-2 teaspoons rubbed sage

1/2-1 teaspoon sea salt

2 tablespoons cold pressed extra virgin olive oil

4 medium apples, peeled and sliced

1 cup chicken broth or stock

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons arrowroot powder

1/4 cup coconut sugar

Instructions for Apple-Glazed Pork Chops

Apple-Glazed Pork ChopsSprinkle pork chops (on both sides) with sage and sea salt. Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and pork chops. Cook pork chops, turning once, until internal temperature is 160° F and juices run clear.

Apple Glaze for Apple-Glazed Pork ChopsMeanwhile, in a medium saucepan, combine apples, broth/stock, apple cider vinegar, arrowroot powder, and coconut sugar; mix until well combined. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender (not mushy). 

Apple-Glazed Pork Chops Pour apple glaze over pork chops and heat through. Serve pork chops with apples and glaze poured over top. Enjoy!
