Herb Buttered Broccoli

Posted on03.11.16 by Nelle

Farmgirl Paleo Herb Buttered Broccoli I love broccoli in all forms, but my family (well, some of them), not so much. When I was a kid, my mom would put mustard (yes you read that right, mustard) on our broccoli to get us to eat it. It was, surprisingly, quite good. Unfortunately, this flavor combination got old fast.  So, I am always trying to come up with ways to prepare it to make it delicious. Herb Buttered Broccoli is a tasty way to get my family to eat this bitter veggie.

Ingredients for Herb Buttered Broccoli

1 pound broccoli, chopped medium to small

3 tablespoons of clarified butter, melted (You can buy at a specialty grocery store or make it yourself.)

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions for Herb Buttered Broccoli

In a small bowl, combine melted clarified butter, minced garlic cloves, thyme leaves, sea salt, and black pepper. Pour herb butter mixture over broccoli, toss to coat.

Bake uncovered at 400° F for 15-20 minutes or to desired tenderness. Enjoy!
